Working with a mentor
At the heart of our approach are regular mentoring sessions. Sometimes as business owners we’re so close to the day-to-day that it’s difficult to step back and focus on the bigger picture. At times it feels like the business is running your life and not you running the business.
Working with a mentor gives you access to a supportive, trusted friend who will help you to work ‘on the business and not in the business’.
Growing your business can be difficult, we know that from experience so we’re here to offer advice and support when you need it most.
Develop your strategy
Many business owners have a plan, sadly not that many have a strategy. Especially one that’s really clear, has been independently critiqued, written down, contains clear SMART goals and measures, and is regularly reviewed and challenged.
Working with a mentor to develop the right strategy and a clear direction for your business will mean you feel more in control and can move beyond just surviving to thriving. The strategy you develop with your mentor will address your current challenges and make the most of your business opportunities.
Each strategy is unique but typically we’ll focus on the most important elements such as finances, profitability, cashflow, sales, marketing, product innovation, people and culture.
Personal and Business Alignment
As a business owner, do you ever feel like you are sitting in the back seat and your business is driving your life from the front seat?
This is an alignment problem.
It is usually because your personal goals aren’t aligned with your business goals. The business goals take priority.
One of the symptoms of your goals not being aligned is losing the passion for your business.
How can you get passionate about the direction of the business if it’s not the direction you want to go personally?
This is just one of the many things you and your mentor will discuss in each session.
